EBOO Therapy in Dubai
What is EBOO therapy?
EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. “Extracorporeal” simply means outside the body – blood is drawn, treated in an external circuit, and returned.
During a session, blood is taken from one arm and passed through a filter cartridge. As it travels through, it is exposed to a controlled mixture of medical-grade oxygen and ozone. The treated blood then returns to your other arm. The circuit runs continuously for the length of the session, so a substantial volume of blood passes through over the course of the treatment.
Ozone is a form of oxygen. Where the oxygen we breathe has two atoms, ozone has three, and that extra atom makes it far more chemically reactive. Medical ozone is produced on site from pure oxygen, in a controlled concentration, immediately before use.
” You may also see this treatment written as EBO2. It is the same procedure under a different manufacturer’s naming.”
How EBOO compares with our other therapies
We offer several treatments that involve oxygen, ozone or the blood. They are not interchangeable, and this is the question we are asked most.
EBOO and 10 Pass ozone therapy:
Both introduce ozone to your blood, and they do it differently. 10 Pass works in batches: a quantity of blood is withdrawn, treated with ozone under pressure, returned, and the cycle repeats. EBOO runs as a continuous circuit with a filter in line, so blood flows through and back without being handled in separate rounds. Which is more appropriate depends on your assessment, not on which sounds more advanced.
EBOO and hyperbaric oxygen therapy:
HBOT has you breathe pressurised oxygen inside a chamber. Nothing leaves your body. EBOO treats blood outside the body with an oxygen and ozone mixture. Different mechanism, different equipment, different indications.
EBOO and INUSpheresis®:
Both circulate blood through an external filter, and that is where the similarity stops. INUSpheresis® is a filtration procedure – it separates plasma and uses a second filter to hold back larger molecules. EBOO’s filter is part of the circuit, but the therapy’s rationale is the ozone exposure rather than selective removal. One is about what is taken out; the other is about what the blood is exposed to.
EBOO and IV vitamin therapy:
An infusion adds substances to your bloodstream. EBOO does not.

About the filter, and what it does and does not show
Clinics often photograph the used filter cartridge after a session and present the discolouration as toxins drawn out of the patient. We are not going to do that, because it is not an honest reading of what you are looking at.
The filter is part of the circuit. Discolouration in a used cartridge reflects blood components and cellular material retained by the membrane during the session. It is not an assay, it has not been analysed, and its appearance does not tell you what was removed or how much.
If you want to know what changed in your blood, the answer comes from blood tests taken before and after, not from a photograph of a cartridge. We will agree what we are measuring before you start.
Being straight with you about the evidence
Ozone therapy is used clinically in a number of countries and has been for decades. It is offered lawfully in the UAE by licensed facilities, including ours. Those are facts, and they are the reason we offer it.
They are not the same as saying it is proven. The published evidence for ozone-based blood therapies consists largely of small studies, case series and clinical experience rather than large randomised trials, and it remains a contested area among regulators and researchers. Some national authorities take a sceptical view. You should know that before you decide, and you will not find it on most clinic websites.
Our position is that this is a reasonable option for some people, under supervision, after proper assessment, with realistic expectations set in advance. It is not a treatment for a diagnosed condition, it is not a substitute for care from the specialist managing that condition, and we will not tell you what result you are going to get.
If you would prefer a therapy with a larger evidence base behind it, say so at your consultation and we will discuss what else might suit you.

FAQ's
Does EBBO Therapy really work as a wellness treatment?
Yes, EBBO Therapy is gaining recognition for its ability to support overall wellbeing. Many clients report increased energy, clearer skin, and better sleep for instance. Book a consultation with Este Medical and learn more about our EBBO treatments in Dubai.
Is EBBO a natural medical treatment?
Yes, EBBO Therapy is a natural treatment that uses medical-grade ozone and oxygen to purify the blood and support the body’s own healing response. It can help reduce inflammation, boost immune function, and promote detoxification without relying on pharmaceuticals. Increasingly popular for managing chronic health concerns, EBBO offers a safe and effective option to better overall wellness.
Who should have EBBO Therapy?
EBBO Therapy is ideal for those looking to detox from internal or environmental toxins, manage chronic inflammation or autoimmune conditions, boost energy and mental clarity, and support long-term cellular health and recovery. It’s a natural, advanced option for anyone focused on improving their overall wellness and immune resilience.
What makes EBBO an effective blood detox treatment?
EBBO is considered a powerful detox therapy because it filters the blood directly, removing toxins, heavy metals, inflammatory proteins, and other harmful substances. Unlike surface-level detox methods, EBBO works at a deeper, cellular level to purify the bloodstream, support immune balance, and improve how the body uses oxygen. Schedule a consultation with Este Medical to discover the benefits of EBBO Dubai treatments.
Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy the same as Ozone Therapy?
While both therapies support healing and wellness and are gaining recognition from biohackers, they work in different ways. HBOT delivers pure oxygen under pressure in a chamber to increase oxygen absorption in the body. In contrast, Ozone Therapy — including advanced treatments like EBBO — uses a blend of oxygen and ozone to stimulate the immune system, detoxify the blood, and enhance cellular regeneration. Each treatment offers unique benefits. Book a consultation with Este Medical to find out which of our Dubai oxygen/ozone therapies is right for your wellness goals.
How long does EBBO treatment take and does it hurt?
An EBBO treatment session usually takes between 60 to 90 minutes. The process involves drawing blood, filtering it, and returning it to the body. The treatment is not considered painful. At Este Medical, we prioritise client comfort to ensure the experience is relaxed and stress-free. Arrange an online consultation at Este Medical Dubai to discuss any further questions about the EBBO blood filtration method.
